Renowned Chefs to Share Vision of the Future of Kosher at Kosherfest

Luminaries of the culinary world will offer fresh perspectives on ethnic traditions and cooking with fresh, natural and whole foods at Kosherfest (November 10-11 at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus, NJ).

Chef Araik Grigoryan of Marani Restaurant will showcase his reinvented Georgian dishes. Chef Isaac Bernstein, Culinary Director for Pomegranate, will bring his expertise in fresh ingredients and charcuterie. Chef Levana Kirschenbaum, cookbook author, and culinary instructor, will focus on natural, whole foods cooking using some of Kosherfest’s newest products. Attendees will get a chance to meet the chefs, learn their stories and techniques, hear their insights on the future of Kosher, and sample their culinary creations.

Grigoryan has over 25 years of world-wide culinary experience and is a trailblazer in bringing Georgian cuisine to the U.S. kosher community. Berstein’s creativity at premier kosher supermarket, Pomegranate, offers shoppers elaborate tasting menus focusing on local and seasonal ingredients. His expertise has assisted in the growth of Pomegranate’s charcuterie line. Kirschenbaum is a renowned presenter, cookbook author, cooking teacher, and a pioneer in kosher upscale dining, and is often called the “Jewish Julia Child.”

“We are delighted to host such accomplished chefs at Kosherfest,” said Christine Salmon, Event Manager of Kosherfest. “Each chef offers a unique perspective and different background but they are all thought-leaders and luminaries in kosher cuisine.”

The culinary presentations are a complement to the exhibit hall, which consists of over 325 suppliers, distributors, and producers of kosher-certified products. Other attractions at this year’s event include the 8th annual culinary competition, new product showcase, and regional pavilions showcasing products from Israel, Argentina, and Italy.

Kosherfest is a business-to-business trade event. Only kosher food and beverage professionals are invited to attend and verification will be checked in the form of business cards and photo identification.
