Ernest N. Morial Convention Center Complex, New Orleans
Registration has opened for the 2015 International WorkBoat Show (IWBS--New Orleans, December 1-3) and the Pacific Marine Expo (PME--Seattle, November 18-20), both produced by Diversified Communications.
IWBS will be held at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center and PME at Seattle's CenturyLink Field Event Center.

“By successfully bringing together thousands of maritime industry buyers, with thousands of suppliers selling the latest products and technologies, and by offering strong conference programs, these shows have become the premier events for the commercial marine industry,” said Denielle Christensen, Show Director of Pacific Marine Expo and International WorkBoat Show.

International WorkBoat Show 2015
“The WorkBoat Show is the must-attend event for the commercial marine industry because it brings together thousands of people who want to purchase the latest products, technologies and services from more than 1,000 businesses that exhibit at the show,” said Christensen.  “It’s the top marketplace for businesses that service the coastal, inland and offshore waters.”

The 2014 show attracted more than 1,100 exhibitors and over 14,500 visitors from 45 states and 27 countries.   Trade Show Executive ranked the WorkBoat Show as one of the 50 Fastest Growing Shows of 2014.

This year’s show features a keynote address by former National Football League quarterback Joe Theismann and a comprehensive conference program with programming in five tracks.

Joe Theismann, former star quarterback for the Washington Redskins who led the team to a 27-17 victory over the Miami Dolphins in Super Bowl XVII, will deliver the keynote address at the WorkBoat Show on Tuesday, Dec. 1 at 1 p.m. Theismann, winner of the NFL’s Most Valuable Player Award in 1983, has spent the last two decades working for ESPN on their NFL broadcast and the NFL Network. Theismann will share personal stories and insight on succeeding under pressure, adapting quickly to unexpected situations, setting goals and correcting errors during each step on the way to success.

The WorkBoat Annual Conference provides important information on current rules and regulations, technology and issues that affect the commercial marine industry. These educational and interactive sessions feature tiered programming that focuses on business management, legal and regulatory issues, safety and security, technical issues/advancements, and maritime industry workforce challenges and opportunities.

In addition to the conference tracks, the Show will also host two featured speakers on days two and three. On Wednesday, December 2, Dr. Kent Moors, an internationally recognized expert in oil and gas policy/finance and risk assessment, will address the status and the future of the oil industry and what it means for the industry and our economy. On Thursday, December 3, Chris Fischer, expedition leader, founding chairman of OCEARCH, a member of The Explorers Club, and seven-time Emmy Award winner will address attendees.  A full schedule of all sessions and events is available at www.workboatshow.com.

This year’s WorkBoat Show will also feature Workforce Day on Thursday, December 3, with special speakers and a career fair, which is being presented in cooperation with the Louisiana Workforce Commission.  This new addition to the Show schedule is designed to service a growing need for workers within the commercial marine industry.

With more than 54,000 maritime jobs in Louisiana, workforce needs continue to grow. An estimated one in five jobs in Louisiana is connected to the maritime industry, resulting in employment income of more than $3.5 billion every year.  All sessions in the Workforce track and the career fair will be open to all show attendees.

The International WorkBoat Show and Annual Conference takes place in Halls A through F in the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. Registration is located in the lobby outside of Hall A. The conference and keynotes will take place in the lobby area of Hall A.

Qualified members of the industry can attend the Exhibit Hall, keynote, featured speakers and Workforce Day for free by registering on or before Nov. 30, 2015.  Non-exhibiting suppliers can register for $50. Attendees will also save on passes for the Annual Conference program by registering early.  To register to attend, visit www.WorkBoatShow.com.
