Company's Appointments to Senior Leadership Support Growth in International Sectors
In a move the company says shows a commitment to invest in and grow its global network of talent, Freeman announced three new hires last week for its Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) team: Business Development Director Greg Cherry, Creative Director Tez Patel and Client Solutions Director Jackie Brown.
To service clients with an enhanced worldwide presence and consistent brand experiences, Freeman characterizes these management team additions as part of a continuing investment in a global infrastructure, extending its leadership team to enhance value for customers to effectively manage global growth.
Business Development Director Greg Cherry joins the company as a seasoned exhibition and events professional with 17 years of experience across multiple sectors, including aviation, healthcare, energy, defense, food ingredients and media. Cherry has most recently led the growth efforts of the commercial arm of ADNEC, the exhibition center in Abu Dhabi. During his tenure, this business saw the fastest growth in the number and size of exhibitions. Cherry’s leadership in growing businesses coupled with passion and drive for excellence will position the EMEA team to accelerate growth.
Creative Director Tez Patel adds to the company’s achievement in exhibition, events innovation and cutting-edge design by bringing more than a decade of creative design consultancy experience to the team. His diverse background ranges from product, graphics and packaging to strategy, media and emerging technology such as 3D printing. His portfolio brims with iconic work for some of the biggest names in high street fashion, including Superdry, French Connection and Cath Kidston, as well as tech-media giants Autodesk, 3D Systems and BBC, with notable achievements in live events including international experiential workshops.
Client Solutions Director Jackie Brown will replace Justin Phillips’ role. Phillips will step away from the day-to-day client solutions operations of the business, and will move on to another opportunity in March. Brown, an experienced commercial professional with more than a decade of sales and marketing experience, has worked both in hotels and head offices of major hotel groups, including Hilton UK & Ireland, Ramada Jarvis and GLH (Guoman & Thistle Hotels). Brown joins Freeman from The Hotel Partnership, where she held the role of Commercial Director.
“We are thrilled to add new leadership to our Europe, Middle East and Africa team,” said Anthony Floreano, managing director for Freeman’s EMEA business. “Freeman continues to invest in creative talent, and today with an expanded, formalized program, we have a solid base of operations that demands growing our international business as a strategic priority.”
“Freeman is excited to welcome these new creative talents to the EMEA expansion team to help us better serve our customers and bring innovation to the market. I also want to thank Justin for all of his great work during this important time and welcome Jackie to the team,” continued Floreano.
